iPod, iPad, iHome, iRoad

Toyota is the newest company to adopt the "i" prefix to keep up with the iTimes. The iRoad made it's first ever appearance at the Geneva Motor Show on March 5th this year. This funky yet futuristic new 3 wheel scooter makes its place in automotive history using "Active Lean Technology" which allows the wheels to move up and down to compensate for corners and turns. Check out the design below.

Looking at this new vehicle the first thing you notice is that it is a one seater, meaning it is primarily for city and urban drives. The iRoad sits the driver in a cockpit so no need for a helmet in this scooter. It offers electrical features such as heating, radio, bluetooth to name a few and offers stability due to the ALT.
The vehicle is powered by 2kW motors and a lithium ion battery. The vehicle is able to travel approximately 50km on its power before it needs to be recharged for an average time of appx. 3 hours.
Overall, here at JDMTyte we think that the iRoad is a great green invention and is deserving of the "i" title. Respond if you agree or disagree and let us know what you think.
